The short version

Sorbus does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data. It contains no advertising, behavioural tracking or third-party analytics. Your arrangements and recordings are not uploaded to us.

Projects, MIDI and recordings

Sorbus creates and edits musical projects, MIDI data and audio recordings on your device. When you save, open, import or export a file, you choose its location through Apple’s Files interface. If you choose iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider’s own privacy terms apply. Sorbus does not receive a copy.

Microphone, audio and Bluetooth access

Sorbus requests microphone access only to record audio from the iPad microphone or a connected audio interface. Bluetooth access is used to discover and connect compatible MIDI devices. These signals are used for music-making inside the app and are not sent to us.

Purchases

The optional full unlock is purchased and restored through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the transaction and provides Sorbus only with the information needed to verify whether that product is available to the signed-in App Store account. We do not receive your payment details.

This website

This website uses no advertising, analytics, account system, contact form or tracking cookies. Like most web hosts, our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical server logs for security and reliable operation. We do not use those logs to profile visitors.

Children’s privacy

Because Sorbus does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If Sorbus changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated before that change is released. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@sorbus.app.
